Programming, Robotics and Game Design Camps for Ages 10 - 14

Is your child already excited by computer science, robotics or game design, and looking for a way to develop that knowledge further? Or, would you like your child to have a chance to explore an area of technology to see if it interests them.

Our mission at TechKnowHow is to serve both types of students by providing hands-on projects that make STEM learning fun and engaging. Our camps feature original curriculum with interesting teacher-led projects involving skill-learning and challenges, all done with a focus on allowing each student to infuse their ideas and creativity into their work. We have over 22 years experience working with students in our camps and programs, and have received awards for best technology camp from Bay Area media numerous times.

Game Design ages 8 -11

Technovators: RC Projects and Game Design - Ages 8 - 11

All day camp (9am-3:30pm) Students innovate with tech - building fun remote control creations with LEGO® motors and then designing their own computer game.
Game Design ages 8 -12

Live Action Movie Making - Ages 9 - 12

  • Half day morning camp (9am-12pm) at Delridge location
  • Half day afternoon camp (1pm- 4pm) at Dakota location
Students will jump into a live action movie-making experience! Learn the entire filmmaking process from pitching an idea and production planning to recording and directing talent.
Movie Making LEGO® Stop Motion

Movie Making LEGO® Stop Motion - Ages 9 - 12

  • Half day morning camp (9am-12pm) at Delridge location
  • Half day afternoon camp (1pm- 4pm) at Dakota location
Students will work in teams to create a stop-motion movie starring LEGO® minifigures and sets that they create using LEGO® components.
EV3® and Game Design camps ages 10 -13

Robotics & Game Design - Ages 10 - 14

All day camp
(9am-3:30pm) at Kent location
(8:30am-2:30pm) at Renton location

In the morning students build and program simple versions of real world robots using the LEGO® Mindstorms EV3® line.
In the afternoon students create their own scrolling adventure game using Stencyl®, one of the newest and best ways to create games for a computer or mobile device.
EV3® and Game Design camps ages 10 -13

Robotics & Python® Programming - Ages 10 - 14

Morning camp (9am-12pm)

In the morning students build and program simple versions of real world robots using the LEGO® Mindstorms EV3® line.
In the afternoon students learn to program with Python® through step-by-step teacher-led instructions as they create text-based games, art, and interactive graphical games.
